The District Armed Reserve, Tirupati consists of 18 Platoons including Headquarters Platoon. Which was sanctioned by Govt of A.P Vide G.O. Ms.No.163, Home (SER-III) Dept. Dt: 23-06-2010.

1. Armed Reserve- general will work under the guidance of one Reserve Inspector (Admin) who will look after deployment.

2. District Security Wing - which will provide PSOs to VIPs in the district . Bomb Disposal Team.

3. Motor Transport works under one Sub-Inspector Rank Officer . Unit Welfare - one Reserve Inspector will look after welfare of Police, maintenance of Hospital and others under direct supervision of SP
